Classes

Finally! The classes are set, my schedule is ready, and I have just over 2 weeks until move in. I couldn't be more excited! All I have to do now is pay my tuition, get my books, and wake up on time for my 8 o'clock theory class. Ugh! But it makes no difference. I will be putting my best foot forward, and attempting to reclaim the information that I learned this past year with Master Hutchings. I can't believe that I am actually moving somewhere to learn more. It all seems a little surreal, leaving my family and 7 year home for a new experience. But nothing beats the feeling of knowing that everything is going to work out! Here is my schedule for all interested individuals, along with the times of the classes so that you know when to call me .. if you want to call and say hi, that is!

MONDAY
11 a.m. Intro to American Education
1 p.m. Ear Training
2 p.m. Survey Western Music
4 p.m. Choir (subject to change based on placement)
TUESDAY
8 a.m. Music Theory
9:30 a.m. Conducting
2 p.m. Voice Masterclass
WEDNESDAY
9 a.m. Intro to American Education: Lab
1 p.m. Ear Training
2 p.m. Survey Western Music
4 p.m. Choir (subject to change)
THURSDAY
8 a.m. Music Theory
9:30 a.m. Conducting
2 p.m. Recital Attendance (Whatever that means)
FRIDAY
11 a.m. Intro to American Education
4 p.m. Choir (subject to change)

So there you have it. This schedule is a lot like the Sandburg schedule. Nothing on Friday but choir, and a fairly loose schedule. I also have a survey of western music class in there somewhere, but I don't know the time for it yet. That will be updated fairly soon!

The Transfer

To all my dedicated followers. I know you are...out there...somewhere...

I am preparing to move to a new school: Millikin University. I am a vocal education major there, scheduled to graduate in 2013. Now what is the biggest problem? I'm behind. I have my freshman and most of sophomore year to make up, and it will definitely set me back. Aside from the fact that I am living off of a non-existent job, at the time being. I'm hoping something comes through in the large town of Decatur.

I am also getting out of my house. It is every child's dream to be free of their parents. I will miss it. The free (well, sort of) food, lodging, and the support of my family. But it will be a nice change. I just hope that my adjustment to living off of myself will be an easy one to make. I shouldn't be worried, but that can't be helped.

As I conclude, I will admit to my excitement. A new place, new friends, and a new beginning are the things I have to look forward to. Though I will miss all of the current things listed above, I know there is much more out there for me to see!
